Using the archive
ArtifactArchive provides artwork records, research, browsing tools and a shop. Articles include sources and credits so you can follow the evidence. Records can change as the archive develops. Confirm a work's display, opening hours and availability with its recorded institution before travelling.
Advertising
Advertising helps fund the public archive. Adsterra placements load automatically as they approach the visible part of the page. The website does not provide an Adsterra acceptance prompt or a visitor option to switch off those placements. Advertising scripts are excluded from checkout, private order and administration pages.
Google AdSense remains an alternative provider. When it is active, Google's consent management system and applicable regional advertising requirements still apply.
Adverts are labelled Advertisement. Their content and destination websites are supplied by third parties. Displaying an advert does not mean ArtifactArchive endorses its claims, products or services. Any purchase or interaction on an advertiser's website is with that advertiser and is subject to its own terms.
Privacy and your rights
Read our privacy and cookie notice for information about advertising providers and their use of browser, device and storage information. Article-counting preferences are separate from advertising.
These terms do not supply advertising consent where separate permission is required, or remove your statutory consumer or data-protection rights.
Artwork images and linked services
Follow the source and licence information recorded for each image before reusing it. Museum records, videos, advertising destinations and other external links lead to independently operated services with their own notices and terms. The location map has separate map terms.
The shop
Check the selected design, product, dimensions, price and delivery information before placing an order. Information shown during checkout applies to that purchase. Third-party adverts are separate from ArtifactArchive's own product listings.
